Vivo, one of the emerging brands from China, has introduced a new budget series of its smartphones with prefix ‘Z’. The Vivo Z1, being the first one in the new series, brings specs sheet that seems to be focusing the mid-range market.
Vivo Z1 – Features
The Vivo Z1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS out of the box with the company’s own custom user interface on top. The device brings a larger 6.26-inch Full-Screen display with a 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and a trendy notch on top.
More interestingly, the Vivo Z1 is powered by the same Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 AIE processor that is found under the hood of company’s flagship devices Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD. The chipset is manufactured using the 14nm design process while the octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz is coupled with Adreno 512 graphics processor. The device is fuelled by a 3,260mAh non-removable battery.
According to the specs sheet shared by Vivo, the smartphone offers a decent combo of memory with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can also be expanded by using a dedicated microSD card slot sporting up to 256GB. As for the connectivity options, the device comes with Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS.
On the camera front, Vivo Z1 comes with a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 13MO primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. However, on the front side, there’s an enormous 24MP snapper for taking selfies, making video calls and unlocking the device despite the fact that the smartphone carries a fingerprint sensor on the back to ensure extra layer of security.
Vivo Z1 – Pricing and Availability
As said earlier, Vivo has started taking pre-orders of Vivo Z1 in its hometown while the shipping is scheduled to start from June 4th with price tag of CNY 1799 ($282, PKR 32,500). Although, there is no words of smartphone making debut to international market but we expect the device making its way to Asian markets including Pakistan and India very soon.
