WhatsApp, the most popular instant messaging and calling app, has reportedly rolling out an interesting feature for its Android and iOS users enabling them to make group audio and video calls.
WhatsApp Group Call for iPhone Users
A couple of days ago, WABetaInfo revealed that iPhone users can enjoy audio calls to multiple contacts at the same time. The update keeps the interface of the group audio call similar to the current interface of audio calls in WhatsApp. According to WABetaInfo, the feature is rolling out for iPhone version 2.18.60 and has been updated by only a few users.

WhatsApp Group Call for Android Users
Earlier today, Android Police has reported through a renowned tipster Reubon that WhatsApp beta update 2.18.162 enables Android users to make group video and audio call.
The news outlet has shared screenshots of the ongoing call as well as APK Mirror link, so that you may check whether you have received this update or not. Be noted that this is a server-side update and it’s not available for everyone at this point.
How to Use WhatsApp Group call
The WhatsApp Group Call feature is quite easy to use. A user only needs to tap on the “Add Contact” icon that appears on the top right of the screen during an ongoing WhatsApp video or audio call. Similarly, users can also switch between audio and video calls as they do in a single contact call. Interestingly, the new feature also allows the person who is invited to a group call to see who else has already joined in.
It is expected that the new feature will work just like the Skype group calling. Users will be able to add other users during a call. For example, if you are on a call with your friend, you can add another friend to the call simply by pressing the add button and group call including the 3 of you will be created.
At this moment there’s no official word from any representative of Facebook or WhatsApp about when this feature will go live for everyone. However, chances do exist that if you are running with good luck you may have already received the update.
Try updating your WhatsApp to the latest version and let others know your experience with this amazing feature, if you have received this update.
