Xiaomi, one of the big names in Chinese smartphone industry, managed to unveil Xiaomi Mi 5 at the MWC two years ago. Since then, we haven’t seen the company at any big tech show around the globe to announce its new products, as the Xiaomi Mi 6 was unveiled at a dedicated event held in company’s hometown China.

As Xiaomi has been listed as an exhibitor at MWC 2018, it seems that the firm is possibly planning to unveil the upcoming flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 7 at the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona to be held in late February.

The earlier rumors suggested that Xiaomi could bring the next flagship Mi 7 as the successor to the Mi 6 in the first half of the year 2018. It is also reported that the Mi 7 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. It was announced by Xiaomi last month during the second Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii when Lei Jun, founder and CEO Xiaomi said:

We have chosen Snapdragon 845 to power our next flagship smartphone

The Mi 7 is also rumored to be featuring a 6-inch panel made by Samsung having 18:9 aspect ratio. Other rumors claim that the Mi 7 could also bring the facial recognition and Qi wireless charging features.

There are no firm details at the moment, but we expect Xiaomi to unveil the Mi 7 at the MWC 2018; not at a dedicated event in China. If it proves true, the Mi 7 will share the stage with Galaxy S9 that will reportedly launched in the same event.
