Xiaomi, a well-known brand name from China, has unveiled their flagship for 2017 – Xiaomi Mi 6 at an event held in Beijing, China. It seems that the company has realised the importance of design and build as they have focused both the aspects.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 features a glass front and back with a steel frame in between along with some special polish on it; Xiaomi claims it takes up to 12 days and 40 processes to finish.

With a number of impressive specifications, Xiaomi claims that the Mi 6 was able to beat the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of graphics and the Galaxy S8 in AnTuTu benchmarks.

The Mi 6 comes with a 5.15-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution which is around 428ppi. Xiaomi claims that you can match the display with any of the high-tech device in the market. The lower resolution of the Mi 6 will also help to achieve extraordinary battery life.

You will find a fingerprint scanner under-glass on the front while there is no headphone jack; instead you’ll see dual front firing stereo speakers – a first for any Xiaomi smartphone.

The most important feature seems to be the inclusion of the latest processor – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (with a 10nm architecture) clocking at 2.45GHz. On the other hand, the graphics will be handled by an Adreno 540 (same for Galaxy S8) supported by 6GB of LPDD4 RAM. As far as internal storage is concerned, the Mi 6 comes with 64 GB and 128 GB variants.

Feeling the pulse of customers, Xiaomi has incorporated the dual-camera in the Mi 6. They are both of 12MP where one of them is a wide-angle lens and the other is telephoto. Xiaomi has added 4-phase optical image stabilization for its wide-angle 12MP camera. It also features phase detection autofocus and a dual-tone LED flash. The front camera is a standard 8MP shooter with 2160p recording.

The Mi 6 is splash resistant and will come in a silver color in addition to the blue version. Another interesting feature of Dual Wifi has also been introduced with the release of Mi6 that will increase the range and speed of WiFi.

Finally, the Mi 6 comes with a 3,350mAh battery which supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0. On the software side of things, it will be running Android 7.1 with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 on top of it.
