Xiaomi, one of the popular Chinese brand, was earlier reported to be working on Mi Max 3 with 7-inch larger full screen display and equally powerful battery. Fresh report suggest that Xiaomi is all set to bring successor to the Mi Max 2 phablet very soon with improved display and camera specs.
The specifications sheet emerged on a Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, confirms Mi Max 3 to follow the current trend of display features and brings a 6.99-inch full-screen design with 18:9 aspect ratio. Although resolution is not mentioned as of now but it is expected to sport a fullHD+ (2160 x 1080) panel. Not to mention that Xiaomi entered into full-screen arena last month with the launch of Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus.
Mi Max 3 – Rumored Features
Besides noticeable improvement in display properties, the Mi Max 3 is rumoured to bring a 12MP rear shooter and another 5MP lens on the front for selfies and video calls. However, the leaked design of the phone reveals that there will be a dual-camera setup at the back.
The Mi Max 3 is supposed to be powered by a newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 635, 64-bit octa-core processor that is considered to be a successor to the Snapdragon 625 SoC, while the GPU on the chipset is also expected to be 20 percent more powerful as compared to its predecessor. However, there’s another report that suggests that the phablet may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.
The device is rumored to be made available in two memory configurations – 3GB and 4GB RAM variants. The former one will include 64GB of internal storage while the latter will be shipped with 128GB of native storage. As there are no details available about the software, we expect the phablet to run Android Nougat based MIUI 9.
The Mi Max 3 is said to be fuelled by a 5,500mAh non-removable battery that will also support Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology as well as reverse charging. It means that the device may be used as power bank and charge other devices as well.
