Xiaomi is all set to start taking pre-orders for the Redmi Note 5 Pro in Pakistan after the smartphone got immense response in India. The Redmi series is the best-selling mid-range series of the Chinese brand and the new device is termed as the successor to the Redmi Note 4 that is considered to be one of the best mid-range devices launched in the previous year.

Redmi Note 5 Pro – Features

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is quite similar to its sibling Redmi 5 Plus that made its way to Pakistan two weeks earlier. The first notable difference lies in the camera setup as the Note 5 Pro brings vertically aligned dual camera on the rear along with a fingerprint sensor.

The Note 5 Pro brings a 5.99-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution having 18:9 aspect ratio. Xiaomi has also introduced a protective layer but not disclosed the version used in the device.

Xiaomi has opted for an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset clocking at 1.8 GHz to power up the Note 5 Pro. The GPU is a mid-tier Adreno 509. It is expected that the new device would be introduced in two storage variants – 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. There will be an option of using microSD card but scarifying the SIM 2.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro is the dual SIM supported device by default that runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box having latest MIUI 9.5 on the top. The device will get an Android Oreo update with the passage of time.
