Xiaomi is all set to surprise everyone by introducing the Super Charge Turbo – world’s first 100W fast charging technology in the mobile phone industry. This has formally been announced by Xiaomi’s president Lin Bin who said in a statement that their engineers have successfully achieved the said milestone.
Be noted that OPPO is currently leading the market with its unique SuperVOOC technology that brings a 50W fast charging feature. It is quite amazing to see Huawei that simply doubles the threshold of OPPO!
Lin Bin has uploaded a video on his official Weibo account that showcases a 4,000 mAh battery being charged with Xiaomi’s new 100W fast charging technology within just 17 minutes. Isn’t it amazing to hear?
The president further declared that the charging brick will be a little bulky as compared to present ones. However, unfortunately, he has not revealed much about the technology therefore we’ll have to content with this piece of information as of now.
Redmi to Bring First Super Charge Turbo?
Meanwhile, Lu Weibing, Redmi’s Product head has made an announcement after Lin Bin’s leak that it will be the Redmi smartphone series that would first bring the 100W fast charging technology in the market. He further said that he Super Charge Turbo will be mass produced by Redmi for its new flagship and will be used in combination with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855.
