Pakistanis all over the world are celebrating their 70th Independence Day on August 14, 2017. Every individual and every organisation has their own way of celebrating this historic day. Pakistan Railways has started Special Azadi Train passing through all the four provinces, so as Zong has come up with unique gift to the nation – the 3D Virtual Tour of Wazir Mansion – Quaid’s Birthplace.

This has been an exclusive yet informative idea to pay tribute to Father of the Nation bringing Wazir Mansion to everyone’s eyes. Created under Zong’s Corporate Social Responsibility, entire project was completed in-house by Zong 4G’s ‘New Hope’ volunteers, who paid homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, by digitizing his birth place.

Wazir Mansion

It may be recalled that Wazir Mansion, known officially as “Quaid-e-Azam Birthplace Museum” is a former family home in Kharadar, Karachi. The magnificent structure was built during 1860-1870 with stone masonry in lime and jute mortar to suit the volatile weather of Karachi. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah’s father got the house for rent in 1874 and settled here.

3D Tour of Wazir Mansion

Anyone can embark 3D virtual tour to experience a life-like exploration of Wazir Mansion, its rooms, hallways, study room, Quaid’s bedroom, guest library and library, which is furnished with original furniture that has been preserved in its original form.

The second floor displays astounding artifacts such as Quaid’s clothing, wearables and accessories that were under his use and gives us a peek into Quaid’s elegant lifestyle.
