Careem is a well-known name in app-based taxi service in Pakistan currently operating in major cities with intentions to enter the entire urban area of country.

The company may launch their new service under the brand name of ‘Zoom’. Although the official confirmation is still awaited but we can say it will be a Careem Motorbike Service providing a much cheaper transport solution to its customers.

The source of our prediction lies in the official Careem app. Just have a close look on it, if already installed on your iPhone or Android, there is a new option ‘Zoom’ with a picture of motorbike, that gives us hope that the company is now venturing into a motorbike service.

The concept of motorbike service is not new in Pakistan as we have previously seen Bykea, an on demand ride-hailing and parcel delivery service started from Karachi and extended to other major cities that exclusively focused on the use of motorbikes.

Another example lies with Couch Potato, app based freelance delivery service, also featuring motorbike riders that asks you to do nothing and promises to do your everyday tasks for you.

The new service Careem Zoom doesn’t come off as a surprise as the company is expanding its operations for quite some time. Following Uber’s lead, it introduced its rickshaw hailing service last year.

Recently, Careem has launched its services in Multan, Gujranwala, and Sialkot and has also included a fleet of 25,000 local Taxis in Islamabad & Rawalpindi.

Though the company has not confirmed its new service yet, but we are hopeful that Careem would soon announce the big news for all of us. Keep visiting these pages as we’ll inform you about the story as and when unfolded.
